The former ruler of the Necrontyr dynasties, master of the Necrons.
The title "Silent King" originally meant "a silent and mysterious monarch." The Silent King never spoke, instead having the other two Phaerons of the Triarch convey his decrees.
But the once-mighty Triarch had now begun to fall apart, just like the Necron Dynasty.
In the eyes of other races, the Necrons were mysterious and powerful, a force not to be underestimated.
But Silent King Szarekh knew full well that this was merely an appearance.
After slumbering since ancient times, many Necron dynasties could no longer awaken. Their age-old tombs had finally become true graves.
Vast numbers of the Tyranid Swarm were heading toward the Milky Way day and night without pause. Their ravenous hunger could devour the entire galaxy, and Szarekh could not muster enough strength to deal with those beasts.
Meanwhile, Stormlord Imotekh had led the Sautekh Dynasty in rebellion.
If the Imperium of Man was a decaying, bloated, and ignorant giant, then the Necrons were an old man slowly dying with a War Scepter in his grasp.
"The Great Council will now begin-"
By the time Szarekh came to his senses, his Triarch Praetorians had already begun presiding over the council.
Even now, Szarekh did not understand why they still held such meetings.
They could complete every exchange simply by transmitting data, yet they insisted on using those inferior vocalizers to speak as they had when they were alive.
