As Horus anxiously searched the enormous Blackstone Fortress, the entire vessel suddenly shuddered.
Then reassuring lights came on one after another, signaling that the ship's power systems were coming online.
Horus instantly realized something and made his way to the Blackstone Fortress's central command center. Sure enough, he found Bona there, along with Valdor, who had arrived not long before.
"What just happened? Why were we all suddenly separated?" Horus asked.
Bona was frowning as he wrestled with the bewildering assortment of Aeldari equipment, but Horus suddenly heard strange whispers and murmurs in his ear.
"Hello, my brother."
Horus's hair stood on end. He looked behind him, only to find nothing there.
"Don't be so nervous."
Horus swung a backhanded punch at the space in front of him, only to have it caught firmly.
A towering man gave a rather chilling laugh. Beneath Curze's long hair, his face was deathly pale.
"If I wanted to kill you, your head would already be on the floor."
Horus's expression darkened. His brother's Warp abilities went beyond what he had expected, to the point of being genuinely troublesome.
Still, the two slowly lowered their hands, though the encounter left Horus distinctly uncomfortable.
Valdor seemed accustomed to such situations. He looked down at Bona, who was still bringing the engines online.
"Bona, I still don't think it's safe to have this fellow around us."
"Actually... he's the one who shamelessly insisted on tagging along. I don't want him around me either."
As he spoke, Bona seemed to remember something and looked up at Curze.
"If possible, it would be nice if Mr. Curze could get his sons to stop their various acts of sabotage."
Bona was referring to the Night Lords' assorted acts of sabotage within the Thunderhawk.
