More Gretchin welded and riveted cut metal plates onto the containers, forming a breastwork roughly two meters high, riddled with firing ports.
Ten meters behind the first breastwork stood the second. Another ten meters behind that stood the third.
The three crude but sturdy breastworks formed a firing position with defenses in depth.
