The Phaeron at his side immediately raised his sceptre, turning the Silent King's will into an icy proclamation:
"Royal authority shall not be usurped. His Majesty will personally suppress this blasphemous being."
With a silent roar, the massive Ruling Throne broke away from the protective escort of the flagship Song of Oblivion and slowly advanced toward the center of the battlefield like an overwhelmingly oppressive black mountain range.
At the same time, the Hammer of God's Auspex let out a shrill alarm that nearly burned out its speakers.
"High-energy reaction! Beyond stellar levels!" The Scanning Officer's voice warped with sheer terror. "That enormous flying throne... it's coming straight at us!"
Liu Zhipeng, who had just returned to the bridge, stared fixedly at the Blackstone Throne on the holographic display, wreathed in eerie green light and endless lightning. His expression grew utterly grave.
"The Silent King... finally couldn't sit still anymore?"
He drew a deep breath and turned to Magos Maran beside him:
"Relay my orders. No ship is to interfere in the coming battle! Withdraw every battle group to the edge of the system immediately, beyond the interference range of the enemy's force field. Be ready to make a short jump out at any moment!"
"Saint... are you going to..." Maran's eyes widened.
"I'll go meet the supreme commander of the Necron race." Golden flames blazed around Liu Zhipeng like an erupting volcano, lighting the entire bridge as brightly as day. "And buy us a little more time while I'm at it."
Before his words had faded, Liu Zhipeng became a golden meteor that tore through the void and shot straight out of the bridge.
