Liu Zhipeng looked at him, then at the equally eager Ork Boyz behind him. He knew his "company" could finally start recruiting its first batch of "employees."
A warm "capitalist's" smile curled across his lips.
"Sure," he said. "But I don't keep dead weight around. Wanna run with me? Fine. First, give me a 'pledge of loyalty.'"
"A... a pledge of loyalty?" Big Guy's simple brain clearly couldn't grasp this term steeped in Eastern wisdom.
"It means..." Liu Zhipeng pointed at his empty pockets. "...you pay me some 'teef' first."
And so, inspired by Boss Tooth Puller's boundless "wisdom," a brand-new gang-the Big Tooth Gang-was founded, one that could be counted among the most "elite" and "wealthy" in the entire Big Iron Jaw tribe.
Every member carried the finest weapons and armor they had traded for at the Mek workshop. Under the leadership of their boss, Tooth Puller, they began carrying out organized, premeditated "gang crimes" with clearly defined targets.
Their targets were no longer the ordinary Boyz who didn't have two teef to rub together. Instead, they went after other small gangs that had just won battles and captured heaps of "teef" and equipment.
They lurked like a wolf pack along the edges of the battlefield. Then, at just the right moment, they launched lethal ambushes using "tactics" that Orks simply couldn't comprehend.
"Big Guy! Take a squad and charge in from the left! Scramble their formation!"
"Tinplate! Take the shield bearers and hold the front! Everyone else, follow behind and blast 'em good with your 'dakkas'!"
"Remember! Don't bunch up! Spread out! Hit 'em and run! Lure 'em over to that mountain of scrap!"
Under Liu Zhipeng's "wise" command, the Big Tooth Gang's fighting strength grew exponentially. They soon became renowned as "the toughest, the richest, and the sneakiest."
More and more Ork Boyz came seeking them out, hoping to join this progressive collective where there was "meat to eat and teef to earn."
Liu Zhipeng's force rapidly snowballed.
In just a few months, he had gone from a newly arrived Ork Boy to a rising star among the lower ranks of the Big Iron Jaw tribe, one who could no longer be underestimated.
And he was drawing ever closer to his modest goal of "becoming the strongest Ork on this planet."
Just as he was brimming with ambition and preparing to challenge the tribe's real "bosses,"
a far greater, far more frenzied tide sweeping across the entire galaxy arrived without warning.
A "WAAAGH!" field powerful enough to make every Ork's soul tremble and cheer descended upon the planet like an invisible storm.
An immense fleet appeared in the sky, composed of countless battered warships that nonetheless radiated a brutal aesthetic.
A greater, stronger, and crazier warlord had arrived, along with his WAAAGH!
He ignited the most primal, purest hunger for war in the heart of every Ork on the planet.
"WAAAGH!!!"
The Big Iron Jaw tribe erupted.
All the Orks put down their work and set aside their grudges. As one, they poured out of their shacks, factories, and rubbish heaps. Gazing up at the enormous fleet that blotted out the sky, they unleashed the loudest, most frenzied roars of their lives.
Liu Zhipeng, too, was swept up in this WAAAGH! field, a psychic tsunami. He felt his blood boiling. He felt his human soul being assimilated by that purest hunger for battle.
He knew his comfortable days of "setting up his own business in a quiet little corner" were over.
A new stage, far broader and far more dangerous, was beckoning to him.
"Boss," Big Guy said beside him, his ugly face alight with frenzy. "Are we... are we going too?"
Liu Zhipeng looked at him, then at the hundreds of Big Tooth Gang members behind him, their eyes burning with the same fervor. He split his mouth into a grin brighter and crazier than any other Ork's.
"We're going! Of course we're going!"
"Listen up, lads! Grab your gear!"
"We're... gonna pull off an even bigger job!"
The ship that had descended above the Big Iron Jaw tribe was the flagship of Bonecrusher, Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, the prophet of Gork and Mork, the mighty and invincible one.
When Liu Zhipeng arrived at the assembly point with his hundreds of well-equipped, menacing Big Tooth Gang members, the sight before him left him utterly stunned.
Tens of thousands of Orks poured out of every corner of the tribe like a green tide, gathering beneath the huge, crude boarding ramp as it slowly lowered.
They roared loud enough to shake the heavens and brandished their weapons, fighting in the most primitive, savage ways for the right to board the steel behemoth that would carry them to greater battlefields.
This was a boarding operation without the slightest semblance of order.
Or rather, it was a small-scale war in its own right.
"Get outta my way! I was here first!" "Screw you! You stepped on my foot! Die!"
Countless Orks broke into bloody armed brawls amid the shoving and trampling as they boarded. Right there on the ramp, beneath the ship's bridge, they settled their disputes in the most direct way possible. The victors stepped over the losers' corpses and kept climbing. The losers were mercilessly trampled into pulp by the crazed hordes behind them.
Looking at this spectacle, with its cruel Darwinian beauty, Liu Zhipeng couldn't help whistling.
"...They really are full of energy."
"Boss, are we... are we boarding too?" Beside him, Big Guy stared at the boarding ramp, which resembled a meat grinder. For once, a trace of something called "hesitation" appeared on his ugly face.
"Board? Just like that?" Liu Zhipeng shot him a look that said, Is your skull full of muscles too? "Look at us. Dressed this fine, carrying gear this good, and you wanna squeeze in there and play in the mud with those paupers? Wouldn't that lower the Big Tooth Gang's standards?"
He cleared his throat and pointed to a relatively small auxiliary lift platform on the side of the massive warship, seemingly intended for Gretchin and cargo.
"See that?"
"We're taking the VIP entrance."
