Arc 18The Golden God’s Fall
Liu Zhipeng and Ghazghk’s raid drew Szarekh’s Necron fleet into a battle against the Gretchin, where Liu emerged as a C’tan and destroyed the Necron forces. His power then turned against him, and he died in a supernova before awakening in the Eye of Terror as a Warp-hungry sphere that began devouring daemons and Chaos forces.
- Liu Zhipeng lured the Silent King’s fleet away while Ghazghk’s Gretchin stole the C’tan Shards from the Crownworld, then absorbed the shards and entered a golden cocoon.
- Imotekh’s Sautekh fleet blocked Szarekh’s pursuit, but Trazyn revealed the stolen shards and the two rulers joined him in an alliance against Liu Zhipeng.
- Ghazghk’s asteroid fortresses devastated the Necron fleet, and Sharpfang’s Gretchin defended the planet with trenches, traps, and the Big Boss’s Fist.
- Sharpfang teleported his cockpit in front of Imotekh and detonated its Squig Bombs, severely damaging the Necron ruler as the Gretchin renewed their attack.
- Szarekh’s forces broke through the Gretchin defenses, but Liu Zhipeng emerged from his cocoon as a C’tan, destroyed Trazyn’s body, and disintegrated the Necron army.
- Liu Zhipeng crushed Szarekh and his throne, destroyed the Necron fleet, then died in a supernova when [Primordial Quickening] turned against him.
- Liu Zhipeng awoke on a daemon world in the Eye of Terror, drained and devoured daemons, and became a bouncing sphere that consumed Bloodletters, Daemonettes, and Noise Marines.
- Karathes’s forces tried to capture or destroy Liu Zhipeng, but the sphere absorbed the Thousand Sons’ psychic chains and Karathes’s spells before a Helbrute blasted it into a deep crater.
