Uzumaki Hayashi arrived in Konoha, protected Naruto Uzumaki from bullies, and began attending the Ninja Academy while earning the Third Hokage’s support. After mastering Vacuum Sphere and growing closer to Naruto and his classmates, Linshi received a living allowance and prepared to return to school.

• Uzumaki Hayashi rescued Naruto Uzumaki from four Academy boys, walked him home, and was rewarded by the system after Naruto arrived safely.
• The Third Hokage welcomed Linshi to Konoha, arranged his Academy enrollment and a place to stay, and gave him Wind and Water Release scrolls.
• Linshi learned a weakened form of Vacuum Sphere from the scroll, then started at the Academy and sat beside Naruto as Sasuke Uchiha recognized him.
• When Sikong and the other students bullied Naruto, Linshi calmed Naruto and defeated Sikong, but Kakashi Hatake stopped him from using powerful ninjutsu on a classmate.
• The Third Hokage refused Root’s request to take Naruto and decided to expel the child who bullied Naruto and Linshi from the Academy.
• Linshi claimed a system reward in a white training space and gained perfect mastery of Vacuum Sphere, then joined Naruto and Umino Iruka for ramen.
• At the ramen shop, Linshi explained his knowledge of the Nara family to Shikamaru, who watched him leave with Naruto and Iruka.
• An ANBU operative delivered fifty thousand yen from the Third Hokage, and Linshi planned to return to school and test his perfected Vacuum Sphere.

Uzumaki Hayashi gained Ice Release, earned the Third’s protection, and began building closer ties with Kakashi, Gekko Hayate, and his classmates. The stretch ended with Linshi starting swordsmanship training as Naruto vowed to catch up with Sasuke.

• Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha accompanied Uzumaki Hayashi to school, where Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka later invited him shopping and he recognized Gekko Hayate at their flower shop.
• When boys crowded Sakura and Linshi, Linshi defended her, defeated their armed ringleader, and learned that the Third had arranged protection for him.
• Linshi awakened Ice Release and showed it to the Third, who accepted it as a kekkei genkai and arranged for Kakashi Hatake to deliver him an Ice Release scroll.
• Linshi treated Kakashi’s injured hand, and Kakashi offered to become his Jonin instructor after Linshi asked whether Kakashi would protect him.
• The Third made Linshi’s place on Kakashi’s team conditional on passing a sparring assessment and asked him to help Naruto when Mizuki’s suspicious activity threatened to lure him away.
• The Third assigned Gekko Hayate to guard Linshi and Naruto, approved Hayate’s swordsmanship lessons for Linshi, and asked Kakashi to help Linshi build a strong reputation in Konoha.
• Linshi analyzed and learned new techniques, then turned down Sakura and Ino’s shopping invitation to meet Hayate for sword practice.
• Hayate introduced Linshi to Uzuki Yugao at his dojo and gave him a Tachi, while Sasuke challenged Naruto to get stronger and Naruto vowed to catch up.

Uzumaki Hayashi developed his own swordsmanship, passed a private Genin exam, and stood beside Naruto during Mizuki’s attack. Naruto graduated, while Linshi gained a simplified Sage Mode and was taken by Kakashi to choose teammates.

• Gekko Hayate trained Uzumaki Hayashi in swordsmanship, and Linshi named his independent style Konoha Style-Uzumaki Swordsmanship.
• Kakashi Hatake privately tested Linshi, who passed and received his Konoha forehead protector along with scrolls from Kakashi and the Third.
• Gekko Hayate took Linshi to watch as Mizuki persuaded Naruto Uzumaki to steal the Scroll of Seals, and Naruto fled into the forest after Mizuki exposed him as the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.
• Linshi intervened when Mizuki attacked Naruto and Iruka, refusing Mizuki’s offer to join him and fighting him after he transformed.
• Naruto protected the injured Linshi with the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu, and the two defeated Mizuki with Iruka’s help.
• Iruka declared that Naruto had earned his graduation, and Gekko Hayate had Mizuki taken away while ordering the group to keep the night’s events secret.
• Linshi won a simplified Sage Mode from the reward wheel, then Kakashi took him to choose his teammates while Naruto and the other students waited at the Academy.

Hayashi became Team 7’s instructor alongside Kakashi and guided Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke through their first test and missions. In the Land of Waves, he defeated Zabuza using Sage Mode but collapsed from exhaustion, leaving Kakashi and the students determined to protect him in return.

• Hayashi named Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Naruto Uzumaki as his teammates, and Kakashi took them to the rooftop for introductions.
• Kakashi tested Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke for the bells, then passed them after they shared their lunches with Naruto and chose their teammate over the rules.
• Hayashi trained Sasuke in swordsmanship at the Uchiha Compound, while Team 7 completed routine missions until Naruto persuaded the Third to give them a harder assignment.
• The Third sent Team 7 to escort Tazuna to the Land of Waves, and Kakashi and Hayashi helped the students defeat the Demon Brothers on the road.
• Tazuna revealed that Gato was threatening him over the bridge, and Zabuza Momochi ambushed the group and demanded that they hand Tazuna over.
• After Kakashi was injured, Hayashi used Ryūchi Cave Sage Mode to overpower Zabuza and shatter his Kubikiribōchō, but collapsed when his Sage Mode ended.
• Hayashi woke after treatment and wondered why Kakashi had apologized, while Naruto and Sasuke vowed to grow strong enough to protect him.
