"Huh? This is a demon?"
Cobblepot stared, dumbfounded, at the pitiful Zaragu strapped to the chair. He had assumed this thing was, at most, some strange creature that had mutated in Gotham's sewers, and now he was being told it was a demon?
But weren't demons supposed to have goat horns and hooves, with either fur or red skin all over? There were actually varieties that looked like coal ash?
"Yeah, this thing's a demon. So do you still think I'm cruel?"
Cobblepot shook his head, then seemed to think of something and looked hesitantly at Zuo Ci.
"Um, sir, if I splashed him a couple of times too, do you think God would give me some points for good deeds?"
As he spoke, Cobblepot rubbed his hands together, a little nervous.
Since demons existed, Hell must exist too, which meant Heaven definitely existed!
In that case, now that he had finally run into such a useless, weak-ass demon, he could get a few hits in and earn some credit. Who knew? Maybe he could even go to Heaven when he died!
"I don't know whether you'll earn any credit, but you'd better not use this stuff. It's still too dangerous for you."
"Huh? Does holy water work on bad people too?"
Clearly, Cobblepot had a very accurate understanding of himself.
"No, that's not it. Mainly, what's in my hand isn't holy water. It's aqua regia."
"What?!"
Cobblepot froze for a moment, then suddenly remembered what aqua regia was.
Wasn't that the fucking superacid that could dissolve even gold? Good grief, no wonder the demon had suffered so much when it was splashed on him. What wouldn't suffer from that?
"Then that really is a little too dangerous. I'll just zap him with the electric chair instead."
With that, Cobblepot
