While Jack was happily giving Bane a one-sided beating, Zuo Ci and Batman were locked in combat with Bane's test subjects.
"Holy shit, what the hell has Bane cooked up here? This feels like a real-life version of Resident Evil."
As a pointy-headed fellow lunged at him, Zuo Ci spun aside, dodging as gracefully as a butterfly, then struck his shoulder with an expandable baton.
Ever since Deathstroke had handed him his ass last time, Zuo Ci had spent a fortune upgrading his basic physical enhancement to advanced physical enhancement. In terms of raw physical ability, he could even rival Batman.
(Of course, an actual fight would still be a three-seven split: Batman would take three seconds to break seven of Zuo Ci's legs.)
Yet even with that much strength, his full-powered attack only left a slight bruise on his opponent. It hadn't actually damaged the bone at all.
It was debatable whether these drugged-up, pointy-headed fellows could even feel pain anymore. Unless he broke their bones, he couldn't restrict their movements.
Even if he did break their bones, Venom's powerful built-in healing ability would restore them in no time.
High attack, high defense, high regeneration. Put these things in a game, and they'd be pure bullshit enemies-the kind that made you want to blast the designer's entire family into orbit.
"Damn, these guys are tough. If only I could shoot them."
His baton had broken, and his opponents were still completely fine. Zuo Ci decided not to waste any more time tangling with them and took several big steps back to put some distance between them.
Shooting these guys was actually the best option. They weren't easy to kill anyway; they could survive even after being shot full of holes.
The problem was that they were in a sewer,
