"Come fight me, Bane."
Looking at the hulking Bane before him, Jack split his almost disfigured face into a terrifying grin and cracked his knuckles.
There was no mistake. This guy really did give off that familiar scent. He was worthy of being Jack's opponent.
"Oh, you want to fight me? Your friends are all in trouble, you know. Aren't you going to help them?"
Jack was sizing Bane up, and Bane was doing the same to the thing before him that barely qualified as human.
Bane stood a full two meters fifteen tall, making him an exceptionally rare giant among humans.
Yet the guy before him had to be over two meters forty, taller than Bane was even after Venom boosted his height. It was utterly absurd.
It wasn't just his size. The aura radiating from this guy made Bane sense danger, too. He was definitely no hollow showpiece. He was a monster, just like Bane.
Right then, Bane's instincts told him not to fight this guy under any circumstances, or something absolutely terrifying would happen.
"Help them? You've got something wrong. You're the only one I've ever been after."
As he spoke, Jack reached straight out to grab Bane, paying no attention to anything else.
BANG!!!
Seeing this, Bane immediately slammed a fist into Jack's face. If he couldn't avoid the fight, he might as well strike first!
He put all one hundred and fifty kilograms of his weight behind that punch. Even a world-class boxing champion's head would burst instantly from a blow like that.
And yet...
Something's wrong! That didn't feel right!
The instant his fist touched Jack's cheek, Bane sensed something was off. It didn't feel like hitting a human body at all. It was... it was like punching steel!
"Take this seriously, you bastard!"
