After they left through the door, Uchiha Hikaru decided to take another walk around the village. He pulled the Second Prince along with him, knowing that he must have countless questions lingering in his heart.
"Uchiha Hikaru, what exactly did you whisper to the Village Chief just now? I really find it incredible." The Second Prince hurriedly tugged at him, hoping Uchiha Hikaru would tell him everything.
He did not hold out much hope. Uchiha Hikaru had always been so elusive, so getting answers from him about such matters was rather difficult.
"By the time it is over, you should more or less understand. But if they cannot complete the challenge, then success will be impossible." Uchiha Hikaru felt that it was quite a powerful wager—either they succeeded, or they died trying.
"Seriously, can't you reveal just a little? Even part of it would be fine." The Second Prince puffed up in anger. Of course, he could not demand anything from Uchiha Hikaru, or Uchiha Hikaru would surely report him.
What the Second Prince feared most was the First Prince finding out that he had not been particularly serious here. Yet everything was completely in Uchiha Hikaru's hands, and Uchiha Hikaru did not seem bothered by it.
"If they succeed in the challenge, we will get to see that batch of divine beasts." Uchiha Hikaru turned his head, and the Second Prince finally understood what they had been discussing earlier.
As a prince, he had also wanted to take charge of the divine beasts' power. However, most of the time, that right had been snatched away by his elder brother, the First Prince.
It would have been bad enough for those divine beasts to end up in anyone's hands, but they had fallen into the hands of someone utterly useless.
