"To put it bluntly, boss, having you favor a few lowlifes is already the greatest blessing they could ask for! And they actually dared demand something in return?!"

The burly man frowned. He had only said one thing, and this guy had launched into a whole tirade.
"Skinny Monkey's right. So what if that guy's dead? Skinny Monkey can sense Anomalies in advance and avoid them too. Makes no difference!"
The driver heard their conversation and wholeheartedly agreed.
"With our abilities, it's generous enough of us to take these burdens along. Who wouldn't call us benevolent?!"
As he spoke, he shouted, "Our boss is benevolent!"
"You two..." The burly man was left somewhat speechless by them.
But he didn't argue. Instead, he waved a hand. "All right, I never said killing him was a mistake."
"Monkey, tell us what you saw first."
He looked at the shifty-eyed Skinny Monkey sitting beside him.
"I saw three scenes."
Skinny Monkey held up three fingers.
"In the first, a woman carried a dozen or so sacks of rice and some cured meat over to a guy wearing glasses and called him captain. There were dozens of lowlifes around them."
"In the second, a winged bird-person dragged a load of cured meat through the sky on ropes, then dropped it."
"In the third, a red-eyed guy with white hair gave that flying bird-person a really simple, bashful smile."
"That's all for now. If anything else comes up later, I'll let you know."
Skinny Monkey continued, offering his analysis. "Based on my analysis, the captain in the first scene is their leader. Those lowlifes were standing around them without being driven away, which means that convoy is probably just like that idiot we killed before."
