An Xi, wrapped in Qingqing's coils, was surrounded by raging winds that whipped the mane along Qingqing's neck into disarray. At the same time, she struck Qingqing's draconic body with her paws, each blow leaving several claw marks and stripping away her scales.
Every time a scale fell, Qingqing tightened her claws around An Xi. By now, she had driven them deep into An Xi's body.
"Roar!"
As though she had decided this was no fun, Qingqing raised her head and let out a long cry, gathering azure radiance in her mouth.
Unlike the bluish-green light Xingzi used for healing, the azure radiance Qingqing gathered exuded destruction and annihilation. Yet mingled with those two qualities was a contradictory sense of nourishing all living things.
Seeing this, An Xi made the character for "king" floating at her forehead blaze with golden light. Golden geng metal essence flowed through her eyes, the winds circling her body grew fiercer, and geng metal fire emerged from the roots of her fur.
Fanned by the wind, the geng metal fire instantly set Qingqing ablaze where she was wrapped around An Xi.
The dragon and tiger burned fiercely in the sky.
Under the raging winds and flames, half the water Qingqing had gathered around herself evaporated in an instant.
But under Qingqing's control, the remaining half merged into heavy water. Though it continued to evaporate, it did so much more slowly.
By then, the azure radiance in Qingqing's mouth was almost fully gathered. She lowered her head toward the enormous white tiger in her coils and unleashed it
