Creatures living in lava before the Apocalypse.
Zhuo Wu and Xingzi both shook their heads. If someone had told them before the Apocalypse that living creatures could survive in lava, they would definitely have called them a fucking idiot.
But now, that wasn't necessarily true.
Ever since the Apocalypse, ghosts were about the only things they hadn't seen.
No, that wasn't right. They had seen ghosts too.
There were plenty of those among the Anomalies.
Humans had many different Sequences, and Anomalies came in many different types too. It was just that most Anomalies resembled rather bizarre monsters.
But some were completely different. The Vending Machine Anomaly in the Convoy, for instance, was a rule-based Anomaly. Beyond those, there were also Anomalies without physical bodies.
If they really sorted them in detail, Anomalies could be divided into four or five broad categories.
But no matter what kind of Anomaly it was, they all shared one thing in common.
Only Sequence Transcendents and Sacrificial Items could hit them.
Other Creations with transcendent properties could attack them too, but they didn't deal as much damage to Anomalies as Sequence Transcendents and Sacrificial Items did.
Minerals, food, Sacrificial Items, Anomalies, Sequences, Transcendent Creations.
With all of these connected, Chu Sheng could already envision what lay ahead, as well as humanity's future.
The three talked as though no one else were there, while the survivors beside them listened with keen interest.
Zhuo Wu was the only Sequence Adept in their group. They hadn't encountered anyone else since the Apocalypse, so naturally, they knew nothing about other convoys. Now that someone was discussing it, everyone wanted to listen.
Even those who had retrieved their children from the burly men gathered nearby with their children in their arms.
Chu Sheng didn't mind the survivors listening in.
