Just as Hidan's tongue was about to touch the blood needed for his ritual, he suddenly realized his body was restrained. He looked down in shock.
"What? How is this possible?!"
Vines had wrapped themselves around Hidan's body, layer upon layer. Forget moving his arms-even farting was probably wishful thinking.
"Tsk... now that was quite a show."
Brimming with curiosity, the real Naruto strolled up to Hidan, snatched his scythe, and tossed it to the ground. Then he drew a kunai and stabbed Hidan without hesitation.
"Ah... damn it! That hurts!!"
Hidan's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. Having the final step of his ritual interrupted left him frustrated and furious beyond words. If he had just tasted the blood on his scythe, he would have won.
"Oh-ho, you really are immortal."
Naruto pulled the kunai out of Hidan's kidney and looked down. There wasn't much, but the blade did have a trace of blood on it.
"Here, taste your own blood. You like this stuff, don't you?"
"Damn it! Let me go if you've got the guts!" Hidan shook his head from side to side, refusing to taste his own blood. Naruto had to grab his chin and force it into his mouth.
Sure enough, once the blood entered his mouth, Hidan's skin began changing color. Black and gleaming, he looked downright freakish.
Before Hidan could start yelling again, however, Naruto stabbed him with the kunai once more.
"Ah... aaaah..."
"Hehehe... so there really is twice the fun in this world?"
Naruto stabbed Hidan again and again, covering practically his entire body. Aside from screaming even more painfully, the guy seemed fine. Naruto couldn't help growing curious about his secret.
"What a talent. Someone like you deserves a scientist."
