As the words fell, that familiar spiritual energy connected to Sasuke once again.
A scene appeared in Sasuke's mind.
It was night, and a bright moon hung outside the window, its light cascading down like a waterfall.
Inside the room, at the desk beneath the window, a blond-haired boy wrote tiny words through his tears, seemingly composing a letter.
The letter seemed very important to him. He kept stopping and starting, only finishing the thousand-word letter when dawn was about to break.
Then the boy took out a rather plain Amethyst Bracelet, sealed the letter with wax, and hid it inside the bracelet's largest bead.
The scene ended there.
When Sasuke opened his eyes again, tears were already streaming down uncontrollably.
He suddenly rose onto his tiptoes, threw both arms around the young man's neck, and burst into sobs.
"Naruto! Naruto!!!!"
"Sasuke!!!"
The emotions they had suppressed for two years erupted in that instant.
Sasuke sobbed uncontrollably, clinging tightly to Naruto with his face pressed against his chest. That familiar chest, that familiar scent, everything he remembered-it was all so real.

His tears came entirely from his guilt toward Sasuke, along with the longing and worry he, too, had suppressed for two years.
"I'm sorry, Sasuke. Forgive me for taking so long to find you."

But even as those apologies reached his ears, Sasuke kept crying loudly, tightening his arms around Naruto's neck.
"I don't care. I don't care about any of that... I just need you to be alive, Naruto."
