A light rain was still pattering outside the kitchen window.
Through the glass, a girl could faintly be seen bustling around in a fluster.
Her long, silky black hair hung down her back, and she wore a white T-shirt that didn't quite fit. Her large eyes were fixed on the rice porridge bubbling in the pot.
Had it been ordinary plain rice porridge, she might not have been so flustered, but she was trying to make the most delicious porridge she had ever tasted.
"I remember it had diced meat and century eggs in it. Hmm... this should be right."
The girl carefully added the chopped lean pork and century eggs to the pot, stirred gently, then scooped out a little to taste.
The moment the porridge touched her tongue, her expression shifted, disappointment creeping onto her face.
Clearly, memory alone wasn't enough to perfectly recreate that flavor.
