It was a tough battle. An incredibly tough one.

Hyperion, a barbarian-class fighter, was being knocked all over the sky by a mage and a hybrid tank-mage-marksman.

It was a one-sided beating.

Furious, Hyperion swore at the top of his lungs. "Ancient One, you're a real piece of work! Why couldn't you finish the good deed you started?"

The Ancient One grew even angrier and hit him harder. "I've been far too nice to you! You were planning to betray me, and you expect me to pull up a chair and serve you tea?"

Hyperion sped ahead, turned back, and shouted, "Sounds good to me!"

"Die, you bastard!"

Covered in lumps, Hyperion frantically squeezed every last bit of energy from his body. His adrenaline surged as he rapidly powered up.

He wasn't powering up to fight back. He was doing it to escape.

Hyperion was a barbarian, all right, and he knew perfectly well that he was one.

So when faced with spatial abilities, he actually did have a way to escape.

It was just that this move was essentially his ultimate, with a very long cooldown after each use.

Another sword lodged in Hyperion's backside. The searing pain made his eyes grow redder, and his energy intensified.

"Father, grant me strength!"

With a roar, his speed shot up to nearly the speed of light.

The Ancient One froze, unable to make out where Hyperion was.

Captain Marvel stopped attacking too. He was moving too fast for her to get a clean shot.

The Ancient One gripped the Magic Longsword. "Wait until he runs out of energy and stops. This is my territory. He can't escape."

The next second.

The air in the pocket dimension began flowing backward. Droplets in the river flowed upward, and withered yellow leaves turned fresh
