There were too many things going on last night, and Tony subconsciously forgot about Reed, who had been staying in the Underground Laboratory.
Chomp on a sandwich, Tony walked toward the Laboratory.
Entering it, a messy scene appeared before Tony's eyes; this place obviously wasn't somewhere S.H.I.E.L.D. agents could enter, so naturally no one had cleaned it up.
Glancing at the disorganized Laboratory, Tony didn't find Reed's figure, but instead saw Bruce continuing to sleep in the Nutrient Chamber.
"JARVIS, where is Reed?"
"Beneath the experimental equipment close to your left, sir."
Hearing this, Tony quickly cast his gaze toward that pile of overturned experimental equipment, shoved and pulled at it a few times using both hands and feet, and Reed's figure immediately appeared before Tony.
He was lying on the ground with an extremely pale face, his breathing weak to the extreme. If Tony hadn't still been able to faintly feel his heartbeat, he would have almost thought Reed had turned into a dead man.
Enduring a punch from Bucky, Reed, who was an ordinary person, had almost been beaten straight through. Being able to hold on through a severe injury for an entire night could already be considered good physical constitution for him.
Under this kind of condition, if he were sent to the hospital, the doctor would definitely issue a death notice right away.
Fortunately, Tony had already drawn the Horse Talisman; otherwise, facing this situation, he really would have been at his wit's end.
A burst of white light appeared on his hand.
Soon, Reed's entire body was enveloped by the white light, and all the wounds on his body began to recover at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The chest that had originally collapsed also automatically returned to its original position at this moment, and Tony even heard the clicking sound of bones snapping back into place.
In less than ten seconds, Reed, who had originally been on the verge of death, came back to life once more.
Even his pale complexion turned much ruddier.
Only the Horse Talisman had such heaven-defying ability; otherwise, even if he had replaced it with The Ancient One, things couldn't possibly have been that easy.
His eyelids twitched slightly, and Reed slowly opened his eyes. Looking at Tony, who was close at hand, his consciousness quickly recovered.
"Hey, pal, are you alright?"
Tony asked with concern.
Reed shook his head to indicate he was fine, then sat up from the ground and glanced at the messy scene around him.
Reed said subconsciously, "What time is it, and is it over?"
"Uh, it's nine in the morning now."
Tony felt a bit guilty.
Sure enough, upon hearing the time, Reed's expression stiffened for an instant.
As a genius, his intelligence wasn't entirely in scientific research. Combining his surrounding environment with the time Tony spoke,
he discovered that being able to stay alive was truly God blessing him!
However, he didn't delve deeply into the matter. No matter what, he was still alive, and even living very well, so everything else didn't matter.
Glancing at Bruce in the Nutrient Chamber, Reed suddenly turned his head to look at Tony and said, "Boss, can I use that Enhancement Serum?"
Hearing this, Tony glanced at Reed, nodded with a smile, and said, "Of course you can, but it's best if you call me when you use it. I'll watch from the side, which will be safer."
"Alright, boss, then wait for me for a moment."
Acknowledging the order, Reed quickly got up and busied himself, completely without any intention of resting.
Before yesterday, Reed's positioning of himself had always been as a researcher, so even after witnessing the terrifying strength Happy possessed after his enhancement, he hadn't had many thoughts about it.
However, after experiencing yesterday's incident where he was almost beaten to death by a single punch from Bucky, he discovered that being a researcher was also a high-risk profession. Without a bit of strength, one never knew when or how they might die.
Therefore, he was so urgent.
Meanwhile, Tony looked at Reed's busy back, his eyes filled with a peculiar expression.
He didn't know whether Reed, who had injected the Enhancement Serum, would mutate in the future. If some accident occurred because the two weren't compatible, that would be truly troublesome.
However, since it was Reed's own choice, he wouldn't interfere.
He believed that people were different; who was to say that an enhanced Reed wouldn't walk through a Cosmic Storm and become even more powerful?
No one could say for sure about such things, so there was no need to stop him.
Reed was busy making the Enhancement Serum, and Tony wasn't idling either. Those who had attacked his villa last night, besides S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Military, also included Bucky.
S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Military were whatever; it wasn't convenient for him to directly tear his face with them, so Nick, who had managed to survive by luck last night, was directly dismissed by Tony.
But Bucky was different; this fellow was also a superhero, and his Dark Alliance was just lacking people, so how could he forget about him?
Therefore, after S.H.I.E.L.D.'s people withdrew last night, Tony had asked Happy to keep Bucky under guard.
Arriving at the guest room on the second floor of the villa, Tony pushed the door open and entered.
Happy, who was stripped to the waist, was seriously working out in the room. His explosive muscles possessed an extreme impact; if he walked out looking like this, who knew how many middle-aged women would drool looking at him.
"Boss, you're here."
Watching Tony step inside, Happy quickly stopped, his face covered in smiles.
Nodding slightly, Tony casually said, "Your current strength is already fixed; working out won't improve it anymore, so you don't need to waste time."
"I know, boss, I'm just doing some daily activity."
Listening to Happy's boastful words, if Tony hadn't still remembered his fat figure, he almost would have believed this guy.
Without picking up the thread, Tony cast his gaze toward Bucky, who was unconscious on the bed, and inquired, "How is his condition?"
"Has he woken up yet?"
Happy shook his head. "No, who knows what's wrong with this guy; clearly he didn't suffer any serious injuries, yet he remains unconscious all the time."
"Boss, do you think he could have been beaten into a vegetable by that big green lump with one punch?"
Although he hadn't seen Hulk unleash his might, he had heard Tony recount it afterward.
"I don't know, should I treat him and see?"
Tony said somewhat uncertainly. Although Bucky wasn't a mortal either, Hulk's terrifying strength was truly freakish, and he didn't dare affirm whether Bucky had been beaten stupid by a single punch from Hulk.
Stepping forward, he placed his hand on Bucky's face, and a burst of white light emanated from his hand. Ten seconds later, Tony released his palm and waited quietly.
Soon, the eyelids of Bucky, who had originally been unconscious, twitched, and he finally opened both eyes.
Seeing this, Tony immediately understood in his heart-sure enough, Hulk's punch had scrambled his brains.
"Uh, who are you guys?"
Bucky's bewildered voice rang out, and looking at the two of them before him, he wore a look of utter perplexity.
Observing his reaction, Tony instantly realized something was wrong. This fellow's performance was completely opposite to last night, lacking even a shred of a cold demeanor.
For a moment, a guess surfaced in his heart.
"What is Steve Rogers to you?"
"You know Steve? I'm his friend, where is he now?"
Bucky immediately asked with excitement, while Tony helplessly slapped his forehead-it seemed he had healed him too much.
