"What exactly are you trying to do?"

While Thor remained silent, Nick spoke up beside him in a low voice.

Loki glanced at Nick, his eyes filled with indifference, and showed no intention of answering.

He was a god, and Nick was human. In his eyes, Nick was no different from an ant. Why would he bother answering him?

A flicker of irritation crossed Nick's eyes at being ignored, but he did not dare order his men to fire. He had already witnessed Loki's bizarre power, after all, and had no desire to blow his own head off.

"Did Odin send you?" Loki asked, tilting his head at Thor.

Thor nodded.

Loki smiled.

"What did the old man send you here for? To capture me?"

"That's right."

"Then let's see if you can catch me. See you around."

"Oh, and you'd better hurry. Once I conquer this planet, it'll be my turn to capture you."

With a confident smile, Loki vanished on the spot. He made no attempt to conceal his intentions, even volunteering them himself in a display of supreme confidence.

Only after Loki had completely disappeared did Nick slowly speak. "Was he telling the truth?"

Thor glanced at him and said somberly, "He is the God of Deceit and Lies. He excels at manipulating people."

Nick immediately breathed a sigh of relief. "So that means he was lying."

"No. He was telling the truth."

The corner of Nick's mouth twitched as he looked at Thor in confusion.

Thor shrugged. "He's very proud. He disdains lying, at least to me."

Nick gave Thor a speechless look. He suddenly realized these gods were rather interesting. The God of Deceit and Lies disdained lying. Wasn't there something strangely ironic about that?

After collecting himself, Nick felt a sudden sense of urgency.
