Erik looked at Logan with some suspicion.
Although awakening his X-Gene had marked Erik's first step into the supernatural world,
no one had ever guided him.
Erik had never worked as a psychotherapist, so he found it hard to judge whether Logan was right.
Still, Erik's life had always gone smoothly. He had a gentle wife and two adorable children.
Naturally, he wasn't weighed down by bitterness and hatred like Magneto in the world of mutants.
"In that case, shall we go to New York and take a look first?" Erik asked.
"Ah." Logan could hear Erik's hesitation and distrust, but he was glad Erik was willing to help him.
That morning.
New York Airport.
Erik drove Logan toward their hotel.
They planned to settle into the hotel for a few days, then rent a place if they still had no leads.
"I think this is the craziest thing I've ever done. You said you came from the future, and I actually flew back to New York from Sokovia with you," Erik complained to Logan.
Logan said nothing.
The Magneto he remembered wasn't like this.
Why was he so damn chatty?
"All right, someone's checking IDs up ahead. Stop talking." Logan had finally found an excuse to cut off Erik's rambling.
"Okay."
Erik noticed the checkpoint ahead.
As he approached the police officer, Erik slowly reduced his speed.
The officer was a balding, middle-aged man with a friendly smile.
Yes, it was Coulson.
"Hello, sir. Your driver's license, please," Coulson said with a smile.
Erik handed over the driver's license he had prepared in advance.
"Mr. Erik Mark?"
Erik nodded.
"Hello, sir. Could you come with us? We need your cooperation on a matter," Coulson said politely.
Logan's body instantly tensed, and a terrifying killing intent radiated from him.
