"Whew... that nightmare again!"
Having lived through the Battle of New York, Stephen Strange seriously wondered whether he had been born into the wrong world!
Only a few short years had passed, so why had he endured so many disasters?
Whenever disaster struck New York, he was invariably in the city, facing it head-on.
Whether it was the giant serpent or the giant star, he had missed neither.
And that was not all.
In fact, ever since those disasters began striking New York, Strange had suffered an endless succession of nightmares, which grew increasingly frequent and erratic.
He often dreamed of eyes, or an emerald-green reflection.
Over the past two weeks, his nightmares had even lasted as long as half an hour. Worst of all, sometimes he had more than one in a single night's sleep!
Despite the mental torment, he persisted on the front lines of surgery, though he could not help losing focus while treating patients during the day.
Yesterday, while performing a delicate neurosurgical guidance procedure, he had felt a faint darkness calling to him.
For an instant, he slipped into a daze, trembling as though walking on thin ice.
He seemed to see some extraordinary being descend into the world!
No!
Strange jolted awake from his nightmare once again.
"He has descended! He is about to appear in this world. This world is in imminent danger."
Strange sat on his bed, shivering and mumbling incoherently.
Tonight, he had seen an emerald-green serpent. In his dream, that emerald figure had unleashed a breath attack, leaving the entire land devastated.
When He split the sky from the earth, no power could stop His arrival!
Cold sweat covered Strange's forehead. "Stop Him. I have to stop Him from descending! I have to go to that place!"
