Dressed entirely in black, Arthur conjured two canes in his hands.
One was gold, and the other was gold too.
An indescribably kindly smile spread across his face as he said in an inscrutable tone, "That fellow has some nerve, holding a ritual to become a god. Isn't he afraid of the Sky God's wrath?"
There was no trace of respect for the Sky God in his words.
Perhaps, deep down, he still harbored some unnamed desire concerning the Sky God.
Strange lowered his eyelids, his lashes fluttering ceaselessly. An unfathomable gleam flickered in his concealed eyes.
The two vanished from where they stood and appeared in Raccoon City, the place the false god had chosen for the ascension ritual.
"Should I call you brave or naive?" Arthur slowly approached the viral entity before him.
The viral entity turned around. Countless eyes studded its front, their nakedly greedy gazes lingering on the Philosopher's Stone one moment and sweeping over Arthur the next.
"That's right! Devour it and become a god! As long as we successfully devour it, I can become a god. You may not be able to kill us all before we succeed!"
