"Captain, did you get a good look? Are you sure they're the same kind of pearls headquarters told us about?" a man dressed as a field officer asked his subordinate.
"Yes, sir. Those two have been carrying identical pearls around different cities, trying to sell them, but no one has bought any. I only discovered them by chance," the captain replied with meticulous precision.
Hearing his subordinate's report, the major began turning over possibilities.
He paced back and forth in his office, then finally stopped, seemingly having made up his mind.
"Take a squad and retrieve that pearl. Keep it clean."
The major decided to strike first rather than hesitate any longer.
At a military base somewhere, the captain assembled a squad of several dozen men, preparing to go and "retrieve" the Pearl.
"Where are we going to train next?" Banner asked Zhang Fei beside him as he happily drove down a small road in the spoils of their crime-fighting efforts.
Ever since Bruce Banner had started traveling with Zhang Fei, his moral boundaries had become increasingly flexible.
He was no longer so rigid in how he handled things.
Still, he remained a kind person.
"No other plans for now. You and Hulk have been getting along well. As long as you keep that up, there shouldn't be much trouble. Maybe we can visit another country and see some different scenery." Zhang Fei leaned against the car window, quietly admiring the view.
Hm? Killing intent!
Zhang Fei keenly sensed someone nearby directing killing intent toward them. His senses were sharp, and he immediately realized something was wrong. "Banner, stop the car!" he called out.
Inside a nearby house, a man dressed as a mercenary frowned. "Did they notice something?"
He waved his hand twice, signaling them to act.
**Boom!
