Only two people remained in the once-bustling Taiji Hall.
"Madara, technology may not be as powerful as supernatural abilities, but it certainly is convenient. People have their limits. There will always be things we can't attend to," Tetsuhiro advised from his throne.
"You're both my right-hand men. I don't want infighting among my own people."
"Tch." Madara stood beside him without answering.
Tetsuhiro paid no mind to his attitude. Or rather, he had long since grown used to it.
"Never mind. Back to killing gods."
"Slaughtering gods!" Madara suddenly interjected.
"All right, slaughtering gods," Tetsuhiro corrected himself helplessly. "I need your strength. We won't be taking Kaguya along this time. For one thing, she dislikes conquest. For another, we need her to guard the Shinobi World."
"Whatever." Madara's expression remained cold and impassive, but the raised eyebrow and hint of fighting spirit at the corner of his mouth told Tetsuhiro that he was definitely interested.
"But you..." Purple light shone in Madara's eyes. "Why is there Dark Energy lingering inside you?"
"Oh, that's an energy unique to that world. You can't command the card monsters without it."
"What monsters? How do they compare to the Tailed Beasts?"
"Hmm... That's actually hard to say. Most of them are small fry. The strongest few supposedly have infinite attack power, but they still need their controller to supply the energy."
"Ridiculous. You even have to supply their energy? I've never seen anything so burdensome!"
"When you put it that way, you have a point." Realization dawned on Tetsuhiro. Why did I go to all that trouble to get them?
Perhaps sensing their controller's wavering resolve, two dragon roars rang out within Tetsuhiro, seemingly displeased.
Exodia emerged directly behind him. "Mighty sir, though you make a very good point, we do have our uses.
