Black mist rose from the card, spreading along Kaiba's hand.
"What is this?! Such powerful dark energy!" Pegasus was shocked. Forgetting Kaiba's injury, he fired a beam of light from his right eye at him.
Yet Kaiba merely waved his mist-shrouded right hand and deflected the beam?!
"Damn it, I can't control my right hand." Kaiba's face twisted as he desperately tried to restrain it with his left.
"Mokuba, go get help!" Pegasus promptly sent Mokuba outside, then concentrated all his energy into the Millennium Eye.
Cold sweat trickled down his cheeks. He felt an immense pressure coming from that hand. "Kaiba-boy, I told you not to take it. Why wouldn't you listen?"
"You don't understand, I... Aah!" Kaiba was about to explain when he suddenly let out an agonized scream.
The black mist spread from his right hand, engulfing his lower body and left hand, then forced his hand to reach for the crystal pyramid beside him. Just before he could grab it, white light enveloped it, resisting the mist...
"If anything happens to me, please take care of Mokuba!" Realizing the white light would not hold out much longer, Kaiba hurriedly gave Pegasus his final request.
"Don't talk nonsense! Hold on, I'll save you!" Pegasus used the Millennium Eye to enter Kaiba's Mindscape.
Only after entering did he realize his mistake. This was not an entity he could possibly resist.
After just fifteen minutes in contact with the black mist, his energy was being drained at a terrifying rate!
"No..." Pegasus hastily summoned all his strength. With the Millennium Eye's help, his consciousness barely managed to escape.
"Damn it! What kind of entity is this? It's after the crystal pyramid. Could it be the King of Light?" Pegasus collapsed to the floor in frustration, helpless to do anything
