"Die and become my nourishment!" The monster with 35,000 attack points launched a direct attack at Dark Yugi's empty field. If this blow landed, it would all be over.
Boom! A beam of black light shot straight at him, completely pulverizing the ground where Yugi stood.
"Yugi!"
"No, you won't lose!" Anzu ran toward him in tears.
"Calm down." Tetsuhiro used Attractive Force to pull her back.
"But Yugi!"
"It's all right. Nothing's going to happen. With me here, I could even bring the dead back to life." Tetsuhiro raised a hand and rubbed Anzu's head, gently comforting her.
"That's right, Anzu. Don't get worked up. Look over there," Mai chimed in.
"You... fine." Anzu's feelings toward Mai Valentine were rather complicated. On the one hand, Mai had defeated her. On the other, that final really had been as dangerous as Mai had said, far beyond anything Anzu could have taken part in.
She looked in the direction Mai pointed, only to find Yugi standing there completely unharmed.
His Life Points hadn't dropped either.
"What's going on?"
Dark Yugi stood proudly on the field, his school uniform jacket draped over his shoulders like a cape, snapping and billowing in the wind.
He looked cool as hell. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
"Impossible! How are you still standing?"
"Heh. I activated Super-Electromagnetic Turtle's effect from my Graveyard. Once per Duel, I can banish this card to end your Battle Phase."
As he spoke, the holographic Super-Electromagnetic Turtle on the field slowly vanished.
"You got lucky. I end my turn."
"Draw!" Dark Yugi said nothing more and ended his turn.
"Looks like you didn't draw anything good either. Then you're finished! Attack, Androginous!"
"No! Yugi!" This time, Joey Wheeler ran toward him.
"Get back here. All of you, calm down." Tetsuhiro pulled him back as well.
