"Flying chickens? Ridiculous."
Tetsuhiro hauled him up from the foot of the wall and flew out of the building.
Suddenly, a roar filled the sky. More than a dozen fighter jets swept overhead, firing missiles at their position in rapid succession.
"Heh heh! You're finished! No matter how strong you are, you can't survive more than a dozen missiles with 1.2-ton warheads!"
As Golden Chicken mocked him, Tetsuhiro's Byakugan glimmered faintly, and black patterns appeared around his eyes.
He calmly raised his hand, stopping every incoming missile in midair.
"Nani?! How is that possible?"
"You frog in a well. How about this?" Tetsuhiro reached both hands toward the aircraft. Using nothing but gravitational control, he caught two jets, slammed them together, and sent them crashing down!
Six collisions later, the entire squadron had been destroyed.
"Whatever else you've got, throw it all at me. I haven't had my fill yet."
"Bomber chickens, attack! Destroy this place if you have to, but wipe out these two lunatics!" A ruthless resolve flashed in Golden Chicken's eyes as he clucked and screamed wildly.
Before long, thirty bomber chickens flew toward them in a massive formation.
"Now that's a little more interesting. Madara, should we stop them or take the hit?"
"I don't feel like eating dust. Wait here. I'll be right back." Madara immediately rose into the air and flew straight toward the bomber chicken formation.
To Golden Chicken, this was undoubtedly like throwing an egg against a rock.
But reality slapped him hard across the face. Madara unleashed a laser-like attack in midair, swiftly shooting down the chickens and setting off a succession of enormous explosions.
"No!" Golden Chicken fell into despair.
Madara swiftly returned and tossed out a dispassionate remark: "You made me use a Sage Art. That alone is something to be proud of." Then he went back to striking his pose.
Tetsuhiro said teasingly, "Anything else? We're not done playing yet..."
Golden Chicken glared venomously at Tetsuhiro, muttering over and over, "B-bas... bastard! Demon!"
"Have you lost your senses now that everything you relied on is gone? Let me wake you up."
He turned to Madara and said, "Let's go see just what this so-called Chicken King is."
"Whatever."
Crack! Suddenly, more than a dozen gunshots rang out from six hundred meters away. Bullets hurtled toward the two men from different angles, targeting every part of their bodies.
"Hmph!" Madara snorted, remaining where he stood with his arms folded. "Shinra Tensei!"
Sniper rifles firing 6.5-millimeter rounds were nowhere near enough. Every bullet was repelled.
Tetsuhiro used the Body Flicker Technique several times to reach them. Figures flew out of the building one after another, accompanied by a string of screams. Before long, the world fell quiet.
The surrounding chickens were so frightened by the sight that they hurriedly shut their windows and hid beneath their blankets, not daring to make a peep. Others hastily made phone calls.
None of this mattered to Tetsuhiro. These people would all be cheap labor later. As long as they didn't provoke him, he couldn't be bothered to dirty his hands.
After he returned, the two quickly headed to Chiyoda.
The palace was heavily guarded.
But to the two of them, those defenses might as well not have existed.
"Who goes there? Enemy attack!"
A group of sword-wielding chickens rushed out and surrounded Tetsuhiro and Madara. At the same time, a golden barrier abruptly rose.
"How long?"
"Ten seconds."
"Then I'll take seven."
To the people surrounding them, the two were speaking nonsense.
Suddenly, both men vanished.
The chickens fell one after another, while others were sent flying into the walls, their fate unknown.
"Pfft!" Chicken-suke looked down and saw a hand protruding through his chest. Blood sprayed across the floor.
He only dimly heard the words, "Do you want to dance too?" Then his vision went black, and he never rose again.
"Six seconds." Not bad. Tetsuhiro kept track of the time, then charged into the palace first and crushed the barrier caster.
Only then did he discover that the person he wanted to capture wasn't there.
Activating his Byakugan, Tetsuhiro pinpointed a group fleeing in a car seven hundred meters away.
"Trying to run? Did you ask my permission?" Tetsuhiro rose into the air and swiftly gave chase.
Six minutes later, Tetsuhiro returned with the man dangling from his hand like a little chick, bringing him back alongside Golden Chicken.
"You're too slow."
"You know, cars are actually pretty fast when they're going all out." Tetsuhiro grinned and chuckled.
To the two dangling from his hands, he looked even more vicious than a demon.
Golden Chicken's face turned ashen, and he went completely limp.
"So this is that Chicken King? He's nothing but an ugly little ant." Madara glanced at him, utterly uninterested.
"True, though 'dwarf' would be a more fitting description."
And so, with Golden Chicken in his left hand and the Chicken King in his right, Tetsuhiro swaggered through the flock toward the chicken platform, utterly ignoring the chickens' terrified reactions...
Meanwhile, the whole world received the news.
Pot Chicken had laid an egg in his nest-he'd chickened out!
