After Yoriichi defeated Kokushibo, the Demon Slayer Corps and their allies advanced through Infinity Castle toward Muzan. Tetsuhiro stopped Yoriichi from killing Muzan outright, but Muzan died under Yoriichi’s two permitted strikes, ending Yoriichi’s hundred-year pursuit.

  • Gyomei urged the group to continue toward Muzan, and Genya found a bloodstained bamboo flute among Kokushibo’s ashes before rejoining them.

  • Yoriichi bid farewell to the Demon Slayer Corps and the Shinobi World, then dissolved into starlight as he called out to Uta.

Tetsuhiro subdued Muzan and let Tanjiro and Nezuko take revenge before dawn, while Zenitsu received a regeneration solution for his service. The Demon Slayer Corps offered to forgo their rewards, but Tetsuhiro insisted that the Empire would honor its reward system.

  • Tetsuhiro used the Light of Creation God to reduce Muzan to ash, after which Muzan regenerated as a teenager and tried to flee.
  • The Demon Slayer Corps and Nezuko beat Muzan until he begged for mercy, and Tetsuhiro bound him with Wood Release.

Tetsuhiro ordered the Demon Slayer Corps to prepare for war and expand the Empire, but the Hashira objected to entering worldly conflicts. Tanjiro argued that they should protect ordinary people from the injustice that created demons, leaving the Corps moved and reconsidering its role.
