Warm water streamed down from above, enveloping Jonas like mist. Countless fine droplets pattered against his well-proportioned, fair, muscular body, soothing his fatigue.

Jonas tilted his head back with his eyes closed, savoring the warm water washing over his face. Only after clearing every thought from his mind did he turn off the shower, towel himself dry, wrap a bath towel around his waist, and walk alone down the deserted corridor.

The night outside the window was dense and somber, draped over the pale beach like soft gauze, silent and lonely.
