After leaving the Ji Family home, Ji Mingzhu felt refreshed and kept stealing glances at the man, his eyes shy and bashful.

Gu Shang: "..."

What was he looking at him for? Was there gold on his face?

The man pretended not to notice, leaning back in his seat and closing his eyes to rest.

The young man glanced out the window and asked, "Honey, where are we going?"

Gu Shang glanced at him, his voice low. "Let's go to Rongsheng Plaza."

"Yes, sir," the driver answered, slowly pulling away.

Ji Mingzhu paused, then asked expectantly, "Honey, are you going to buy something?"

Gu Shang looked at him as though he were an idiot. "Didn't you return your phone? Don't you need a new one?"

The young man froze, then exclaimed in delight, "Yes!"

His husband was going to buy him a new phone!

"Then behave." There was a faint indulgence in the man's tone, as though he were coaxing a child.

Ji Mingzhu blinked his beautiful, large eyes and said obediently, "I'm very well behaved."

"Mm." Gu Shang grudgingly acknowledged that. Ji Mingzhu hadn't caused much trouble today, which deserved some praise.

For the rest of the drive, the man kept his eyes closed and rested without saying another word.

When it came time to buy the phone, the man seemed to forget to ask the young man beside him for his opinion. Whether deliberately or not, he bought one that was the same model as his own.

Gu Shang tossed the new phone to the young man in the front passenger seat. "See if you like it."

The phone in Ji Mingzhu's hands was the latest model on the market, with excellent performance across the board and a sleek design. Gu Shang's was black, while Ji Mingzhu's was the same model in white.

The young man happily caught it and pressed a button, but the screen remained black.

Ji Mingzhu wanted the man to help, but he was too embarrassed to admit he didn't know how to use it. Instead, he leaned over and kissed the corner of the man's mouth, then looked at him pleadingly without saying a word.

Gu Shang froze, then his Adam's apple bobbed slightly.

The pampered little thing still hadn't kissed him on the lips. Those soft, tender lips drifted everywhere like a weightless little cloud, never landing where it mattered, leaving him aching with anticipation.

Who would believe he wasn't doing it on purpose?

Gu Shang gritted his teeth. Afraid the young man would do something even more outrageous, he snatched Ji Mingzhu's phone away and started setting it up as though his life depended on it, as if keeping himself busy would stop the young man from getting ideas about him.

With his husband helping set up the new phone, Ji Mingzhu had nothing to do, so he simply asked, "Honey, can I play with your phone?"

Gu Shang frowned. "What's so fun about my phone?"

Ji Mingzhu was just thinking about his own pitifully short list of contacts and wanted to see how many his husband had. He could save the family's numbers while he was at it.

But he didn't want to say that, because he'd seen short videos saying that men usually had little secrets hidden in their phones.

Ji Mingzhu also wanted to see whether his husband had any secrets, so he said softly, "I'm just curious."

So he simply leaned a little closer to Ji Mingzhu, using his height advantage to peek down at the screen.

His phone held so much important information. This was protecting his personal property. It was supervision, not peeking.
