Gu Shang was both bewildered and panicked.

The young man in front of him suddenly lowered his head. Though Gu Shang couldn't see his expression, he could see several wet spots appear on the front of his clothes.

He tightened his jaw and reached out to lift that pale, pointed little chin.

A large, well-defined hand cupped the soft, delicate cheeks. Slightly rough fingertips sank into the tender flesh, forming two little dimples where light and shadow mingled suggestively.

Gu Shang resisted the urge to give them a few squeezes, his eyes darkening slightly. "What are you crying for? Saw a beautiful woman, fell for her, and now you regret marrying me?"

The man's voice was low, its magnetic timbre carrying a faint metallic rasp and an undercurrent of danger.

Ji Mingzhu widened his tear-clouded eyes and objected solemnly, "How could I possibly regret it? I'm asking you right now. You can't ask me."

A slightly rough thumb wiped away the young man's tear tracks with rather little gentleness.

Gu Shang narrowed his eyes at the woman on the screen. No matter how hard he thought, he couldn't remember how he had added her. He had only a vague impression. "I think she's a model. Maybe someone the company hired for some exhibition before. I've forgotten the details too. We've never chatted, so I don't really know."

"A model?"

"Mm."

Ji Mingzhu grew curious about this entirely new term and momentarily forgot to be upset. "Do models have to dress like that?"

The man clicked his tongue, impatient. "How would I know? I'm not a model."

"Isn't this her own Moments feed? Of course she can wear whatever she wants. She's on vacation, isn't she? Who doesn't dress like that at the beach?" Gu Shang said.

He had turned into a little bundle of tears over this, of all things. He certainly knew how to turn the tables.

Once Ji Mingzhu understood that it was just an ordinary, legitimate profession, he stopped feeling upset. He merely reminded him earnestly, "Then, hubby, you can't hold that kind of exhibition where everyone's all naked, okay?"

Gu Shang couldn't help laughing and said teasingly, "Gu Corporation is a legitimate company. We don't need that sort of thing to attract attention. Why do you care so much? Don't tell me you're jealous?"

Jealous?

What a novel way to put it.

Ji Mingzhu quietly learned this new word and nodded earnestly, looking like a little rice-cake dumpling. "I do get jealous, so you can't look, hubby. If you want to look... then, then you can only look at me."

Gu Shang froze.

He wanted to say, What's there to look at on you? But the young man's earnest expression made his face grow hot. He really couldn't bring himself to discuss these things as shamelessly as Ji Mingzhu did.

So he coughed twice and looked away, grumbling, "Easy for you to say. You've practically gone through my entire contact list, and you still haven't remembered who else you haven't added."

Ji Mingzhu gave a puzzled little sound, lowered his head, and counted on his fingers.

Only when he finished counting did he let out a hurried little cry of realization. "Hubby, I haven't added you yet!"

The man's face was cold. He didn't want to speak.

Knowing he was in the wrong, Ji Mingzhu timidly begged forgiveness. "Sorry, hubby. I'm with you every day, so I forgot. I'll add you now. I'll do it right now."

The young man quickly lowered his head and fumbled through the process.

Gu Shang glanced over without betraying anything.

He saw that his own profile picture had finally appeared among the young man's contacts: a solid black square, as dull as Gu Shang himself, making anyone who saw it afraid to disturb him.

The young man tapped here and there, editing his husband's contact name.

Gu Shang lifted his eyes slightly and discovered that his wife in name actually used handwriting input. Even his father didn't use handwriting input anymore. No wonder he typed so slowly. What an idiot.

Fine. Let's see what sickeningly sweet contact name this idiot gives me.

With his arms folded, Gu Shang watched Ji Mingzhu's beautiful, slender finger carefully write out "Gu Shang," stroke by stroke, in neat, proper characters.

Gu Shang: "..."

...That's it?

He really does say one thing and do another.

Gu Shang's chest heaved sharply with anger. He turned his head away and refused to look anymore.

If I ever fall for this sweet-talking liar's pitiful act again, I'm a dog!

He opened his own friends list too and changed the newly added Ji Mingzhu's contact name to "Pampered little liar."

After adding the man, Ji Mingzhu looked at the WeChat screen and gave a silly little smile.

Gu Shang eyed him. "What are you smiling about now?"

The young man's voice was soft. "Seeing hubby in my phone makes me so happy."

His gaze was gentle and sincere, enough to soften anyone's heart.

This little liar is pretty skilled.

The little liar noticed his gaze, smiled brightly, and leaned over to kiss him again.

This time, Gu Shang didn't dodge. Instead, he parted his lips slightly, caught the young man's lip between them, and gently rubbed against it.

It was soft, like jelly, and rather satisfying.

For some inexplicable reason, the man's mood improved.
