and might even emerge as Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre,
Li Wei and the others had arrived early to prepare for the enormous meteorite due to fall in half a month.
Beyond the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows lay Rustboro City's bustling port and azure waters,
but the somewhat somber atmosphere in the conference room stood in stark contrast to the bright sunshine outside.
Steven, however, was not particularly nervous.
With help from Li Wei, Lance, Cynthia, and Lorelei,
he remained confident that they could intercept Kyogre and Groudon, even if Wallace could not make it back in time.
Steven first answered a call.
"The president is calling on video. I'll put him on the projector."
Since Rustboro City was some distance from Hoenn's Champion League, they had opted for a video conference for convenience.
A composed, capable-looking middle-aged man appeared on the projection.
He was Kyle, president of the Hoenn League.
Kyle said solemnly, "Li Wei, Cynthia, Lance, and Lorelei, thank you for your help."
Lance raised a hand to interrupt him.
"President Kyle, save the thanks for later. Let's get straight to the point."
"Of course. I feel the same way."
As president of the Hoenn League, Kyle bore responsibility for the people and safety of the entire Hoenn Region.
To give Cynthia, Lorelei, and the others a clearer picture,
the Hoenn League displayed a holographic projection.
An enormous holographic map hovered before them, clearly outlining the Hoenn Region.
Two arrows, one blue and one red, marked the routes the Hoenn League predicted they would take.
One wound south from Sootopolis City in the north,
while the other led from inland Lavaridge Town straight toward the waters off Rustboro City.
