Giovanni nearly made Li Wei laugh in exasperation.
The man could handle just about anything,
except being a father.
And whenever Silver was involved,
his thought process always became utterly bizarre.
"Who told you to buy a television station?!"

Giovanni fell silent.
"Obviously, you should watch cartoons,
and find out what Silver likes to eat."
"Or you could tell him about how you and his mother fell in love. I think he'd like that."
Silver hadn't just lacked a father's love,
he'd lacked a mother's love as well.
That part was a little better, though, since Blue had helped fill the gap as both a sister and a mother to him.
Still, Silver would want to learn about his mother.
"I'll remember that. Thank you."
Li Wei reminded him, "Remember, don't try to solve everything with money. Show genuine concern, from the heart."
"I understand." Like a humble apprentice, Giovanni listened to Li Wei's advice.
With that, Li Wei finished his conversation with Giovanni.
A voice suddenly came from behind Li Wei. "Could you stop teaching him all these weird things?"
Looking at Silver, who had suddenly appeared behind him,
Li Wei's mouth twitched.
"Uh... Lucario, where did you go?!"

Lucario had long since vanished.
Steven had let Silver slip inside.
As a former thief,
Silver knew how to enter without making a sound.
Li Wei had also been focused on his conversation with Giovanni,
so he hadn't noticed Silver arriving at all.
"You should try to understand a father's struggles."
"I know," Silver said calmly.
Silver actually understood Giovanni's love for him very well.
So even though Giovanni's methods were bizarre, Silver could still feel his love.
Because Giovanni was always sincere.
"Let's drop that. I need to go get ready too."
