Kindhearted as ever, Ash was certainly not going to stand by and do nothing.
During the fierce battle, Ash's Frogadier evolved into Greninja.
An ordinary evolution would not have sparked much discussion. After all, this was simply one of the Kalos Region's usual starter Pokémon.
But Ash's Greninja was a little different.
After the evolution, Ash briefly felt as though he and Greninja shared the same vision.
A waterspout instantly enveloped Greninja.
Within it, they could faintly make out changes in Greninja's form.

They could also tell that the Hero Ninja Frog seemed somewhat different from an ordinary Greninja.
