Opposite Leon's relief stood a work of art that could take any visitor's breath away.

The stone sculpture had been painted, then enclosed behind a protective glass wall.
Mumu, the Hall of Fame's curator, explained, "With proper preservation, these pigments can last for thousands of years."
But everyone was already captivated by the sculpture.
Even though they had seen Cynthia's sculpture during its unveiling ceremony, seeing it in person was nothing like seeing it on television.
Cynthia, as depicted in the sculpture,
wore her classic long black coat, its folds carved to look like real fabric fluttering in a gentle breeze.
She stood tall in elegant knee-high boots.
Most breathtaking of all was her waterfall of long golden hair. With delicate carving and soft colors, the sculptor had perfectly recreated its sheen and texture,
as though a ray of sunlight shone upon it for all eternity.
