At the Pokémon School.
Li Wei had just arrived at school when he received a call from the Principal's Office.
"Li Wei, could you come to my office?"
"No problem."
What does he want with me this early?
Judging by Principal Oak's tone over the phone, though, it probably wasn't anything urgent, so Li Wei took his time.

Wearing a floral shirt, Principal Oak smiled at Li Wei. "You're here! Take a seat, Mantyke!"
Li Wei's gaze was involuntarily drawn to the two Pokémon Eggs in front of him.
Principal Oak promptly introduced them.
"The one on the left came from Mount Lanakila, and Yukinari brought the one on the right.
I'd like to leave one in your care and let Ash and the others raise the other."
"Can I say no?"
Li Wei recognized both Pokémon Eggs at a glance. He had seen eggs with both appearances before.
The white one with flower patterns was an Alolan Vulpix Egg.
He had personally hatched one just last year.
The other, pale red one without any flower patterns, was a Vulpix Egg.
Li Wei didn't want to raise a Vulpix.
So he wasn't interested in hatching one, either.
More importantly, he had hatched far too many eggs at the Theme Park. He really couldn't be bothered to raise any more now.
Principal Oak smiled. "Of course you can."
"Then I'll raise it myself. Sorry for the trouble, but could you bring them over during class?"
Li Wei nodded. "No problem."
And so, thanks to Lillie's choice, the students received the white Pokémon Egg that would eventually hatch into an Alolan Vulpix.
