In the Chat Group, Li Wei had just explained the situation in the Alola Region to Steven, Blue, and the others.
Steven and Lance both offered to come to the Alola Region to help Li Wei, and Cynthia was even more eager to come.
But Li Wei turned them all down.
Li Wei explained, "My Power of Overcoming and aura let me resist it, but you wouldn't be able to."
"If you came here, you'd just become listless, and there wouldn't be much you could do."
"You're better off staying in Sinnoh, Hoenn, and Kanto. Ash and the others are fine anyway, so leave this to us."
Steven: "Fair enough. I won't enter the cave for now, then. Let me know if you need anything."
Lance: "No problem. I'll give you my full support from here."
Cynthia: "Be careful, then."
In her office on Lily of the Valley Island, Cynthia's brow furrowed slightly, but she soon thought it through. Worrying here wouldn't help.
"I remember picking up quite a few books about the Alola Region before. I'll look through them."
Cynthia planned to search the ancient texts for possible causes. Perhaps the answer was hidden somewhere within them.
Blue: "Keep us updated, then. At least we can help you work out an answer."
Li Wei: "OK, enough talk. I'm going to try to find some answers."
With that, Li Wei left the Chat Group.
Li Wei looked up at Alola's sky again.
The sky over the Alola Region seemed to have been covered by an invisible gray filter.
