The cross designs on the hats of the Nurse Joys from Alola's four main islands
all had a red cross in the center, with outer borders of yellow, orange, pink, and purple respectively.
Li Wei and Professor Kukui had brought Ash and the others to Poni Island on this trip.
It was both an outdoor class and an independent research assignment.
Professor Kukui smiled. "Why don't you all tell us which topics you've chosen?"
Sophocles raised his arm.

"My topic is getting Charjabug to evolve into Vikavolt."
"I've looked it up," Sophocles said confidently. "It's easier to succeed on Poni Island!"
Nurse Joy added with a smile, "That's right. If you want an evolution, you'll need to go to Poni Canyon."
"Thank you, Nurse Joy! That's very important information!"
Burning with enthusiasm, Kiawe said he would train in Poni Island's natural surroundings to hone his abilities.
Mallow rose excitedly onto her tiptoes.
"I'm going to look for Poni White Radishes! I heard they're incredibly delicious!"
Li Wei nodded. "I've heard of Poni White Radishes too, but I've never seen one."
"What's a Poni White Radish, roto?"
Pokédex Rotom was curious.
