"Your assistant has already spoken with me. We're ready on our end, and we have people here who can help."
Hearing that the Breeding Center had people to help pleased Professor Rowan, though he also felt a little guilty.
"Wouldn't that be too much trouble for you? The summer camp doesn't charge any fees, after all..."
Li Wei reassured him, "Don't worry. We've just hired a few university students as camp counselors. When they heard it was your summer camp, they were eager to join."
They had hired eight people in total, four men and four women, all students at Jubilife University.
The Pokémon world had universities. In fact, it had a complete education system, from kindergarten and elementary school through middle school, high school, and university.
Professor Oak and Professor Rowan had attended the same university, with Rowan being Oak's senior. Both had graduated from Celadon University.
It was the most prestigious institution of higher education in the Pokémon world, as well as one of the first universities to offer Pokémon-related programs.
The only question was whether someone chose to attend.
Here, children had plenty of options after turning ten. Taking exams and staying in school wasn't their only path.
Some, like Red and Ash, set out on journeys at ten, while others, like Shiyin, chose to become breeders.
There were also people like Li Wei's Elder Uncle, who had wanted to become a Pokémon Style Designer since childhood.
Since these were summer jobs, they came with pay.
