After leaving the Sea God’s Cave,
Steven turned to the Rotom Pokédex and said seriously,
"Rotom, don't tell anyone except the professor that the Legendary Birds live here."
The Rotom Pokédex patted its chest in assurance.
"Got it, roto!"
Steven didn't want too many people disturbing the lives of the Legendary Birds and the other bird Pokémon here.
But he wasn't planning to report it to the Pokémon League and have the place sealed off, either. That would be going too far.
Letting adventurous explorers and Trainers
experience the wonder of encountering Legendary Pokémon...
was a reward they deserved.
If other Trainers caught the eye of Moltres, Articuno, or Zapdos and received feathers, just as they had...
how wonderful would that be!
Judging from Steven's two trips into the Sea God’s Cave, the Legendary Birds weren't always here, either.

This Corvisquire was very fond of Steven.
As it happened, Corvisquire's evolved form, Corviknight, was part Steel-type, so Steven had caught it without a second thought.
Li Wei had also caught a Rookidee-the same one that had flown onto him at the very beginning.
This Rookidee was male and quite young, just old enough to leave his parents and live independently.
When his Corvisquire parents saw that he liked Li Wei, they practically thrust him into Li Wei's care.
Rookidee was a little reluctant to part with them,
but the Corvisquire showed no such hesitation...
