While Li Wei had been away, his room had undergone some renovations, mainly knocking through walls to expand it and reinforcing the structure.
Lucario's single bed, Shaymin's crib, Arcanine's dog bed...
There were also plenty of packages piled up in the room.
They were all things Li Wei had bought.
Rather than putting down his luggage, the first thing Li Wei did was find two items among the packages.
Both were large, so they were easy to find.
"Rookidee, this is yours."
Li Wei had bought Rookidee a cat tree.
It was shaped like a tree trunk with branches, with room for a flat-bottomed bird nest on top.
He had ordered it online when he caught Rookidee and had it delivered straight to the Breeding Center.
"Chirp, chirp!"
Rookidee flapped its wings and flew to the very top.
Rookidee narrowed its eyes, its chirps full of delight.
Clearly, it loved this gift.
It could keep using it even after evolving into Corvisquire. Only when it evolved into Corviknight would it be too heavy for the tree to support.
But that was fine. By the time it evolved into Corviknight, it wouldn't need this branch-shaped cat tree anymore.
Right now, Rookidee was a tiny little thing that could perch on Li Wei's shoulder.
But once it evolved into Corviknight, it would be a massive creature with an average standing height of over 2.2 meters, its outstretched wings seeming to blot out the sky.
Li Wei planned to have a bird nest custom-made for Corviknight then. His room certainly wouldn't work, but there was plenty of open space at the Breeding Center.
"I'm glad you like it."
Li Wei looked at Diancie, who was waiting beside him.
"Diancie, there's something for you too."
