Jubilife Breeding Center.

Dayou had the greatest Incineroar in the universe.

Li Wei also introduced them to Lucario, Arcanine, and Shiny Metang.

But Dayou's favorite was Comrade Leon's Machamp...

Because Machamp's muscle definition was exactly to Dayou's taste.

Mizuki, meanwhile, had a Glameow.

In the Sinnoh Region, Glameow were much like Meowth and Persian: plenty of people kept them.

Not necessarily for battles or Pokémon Contests, either. Many were simply household pets.

Glameow was also the reason Mizuki had come across Li Wei's second video.

Between Jubilife Breeding Center, Li Wei's voice, and the high-quality Pokéblocks, Mizuki had recognized him the night before.

"I'm the one who pointed out how high-quality your Pokéblocks were in the comments."

The Detective Conan theme suddenly began playing, and Mizuki pushed up her glasses.

Pokémon detective was a profession, too. A show called "Detective Laki" was very popular in the Alola Region.

As Mizuki showed them her comment, another comment beneath the video shot to the very top.

Li Wei, Dayou, and Mizuki stared at one another, momentarily frozen in place.

Because the commenter's username was-The battler!

[The battler: The uploader knows Glameow very well and clearly understands their preferences. This is a video trainers can learn from and use as a reference.

PS: I really liked the sweet-and-sour pork tenderloin in your previous video. Please hurry up with the next one...]

Li Wei tapped the profile picture. It had a yellow Eevee badge-this was the real Red.

Well-known Eevee Network UP Creator, former Kanto Champion, Indigo Plateau Conference Champion...

Looking at this reply posted at one in the morning, Li Wei couldn't help wondering:

Why does "UP Creator" come before "Kanto Champion"?

Do you use ellipses instead of exclamation marks?

And don't you sleep at night?

The replies beneath Red's comment were full of "Baby Red, Mommy loves you!" and "Show Red some respect!"

Li Wei pinned Red's comment and replied, "Sure thing, baby Red. I'll get the next episode arranged right away."

With the traffic Red brought in, plus his stamp of approval, Li Wei's follower count began shooting up.

Dayou laughed at that move.

"You really know what you're doing!"

Li Wei put on a serious expression. "Ahem. I've got to eat, you know. My family borrowed money to open this breeding center."

Dayou patted Li Wei on the shoulder. "If you're short on cash, I've got enough to lend you some."

Dayou really was rich. He could buy a house on a whim, so Li Wei didn't doubt him at all.

"No, no, it hasn't come to that. Come on, I'll show you around."

The foothills, lake, dunes, and other terrain outside were all visible at a glance, so Li Wei didn't need to introduce them.

Instead, Li Wei mainly took Dayou and Mizuki to see the storeroom and training rooms.

From where they were standing, they could see Comrade Leon teaching Cubone Dig.

At that moment, Comrade Leon was sweating buckets as he worked away with a shovel. Only half his body was visible.

The other half was underground.

Dayou was dumbfounded.

"That's how you teach Dig?!"

Li Wei had long since gotten used to it.

"He likes to teach by example."

Fortunately, Cubone seemed to love this teaching method and kept copying him nearby with a Bone Club in hand.

"Cubone! Cubone!"

Half of Cubone's body was underground, too.

All Li Wei could say was that his dad and Ash would probably have plenty in common.

"Let's go."

Li Wei snapped the stunned Dayou and Mizuki out of their daze and took them to the storeroom first.

It was a large storeroom stocked with items, Berries, and all kinds of tools.

"Each shelf is for a different type. Those two hold Potions, and those two are for miscellaneous supplies."

Every shelf had a type label as well as a written label, keeping everything clear and simple.

Li Wei then led them through the corridor and living room to the training rooms in the building on the right.

"There are five training rooms in total: Fighting type, strong wind, lightning, ice and snow, and desert. We only use them when there's a specific need."

Li Wei showed them around each room in turn, explaining where the switches were and how to adjust and operate the control panels.

"If you accidentally get trapped in here, see that switch? Press both sides at once and it'll automatically sound an alarm. Nurse Joy will receive an alert, too."

Mizuki was still taking notes. "Got it."

Dayou's eyes widened. "This place is so fancy!"

Dayou was most interested in the Fighting-type training room.

"Can Incineroar and I use it?"

"Of course. The training rooms were built to be used, after all. But you have to finish your work first."

The training rooms were meant to help Pokémon practice their moves, not sit there as decorations.

"No problem."

"Next, we'll go meet some of the wild Pokémon nearby."

Li Wei took them to meet the wild Pokémon populations living within the breeding center's grounds.

Dayou chuckled. "Hello there, Shinx."

Seeing Dayou about to reach his grabby hands toward Shinx, Li Wei and Mizuki each caught one of his hands.

Dayou looked puzzled. "What's going on?"

Mizuki explained with a serious expression, "Shinx may look small, but they have big tempers. They're far fiercer than their size suggests and will zap people at the drop of a hat."

If Glameow was an aristocratic jazz cat, then Shinx was a supercharged blue cat.

"You're right. Run!"

Blue sparks were already crackling from Shinx's cheeks.

Mizuki blinked. "That fast?!"

Dayou complained, "You were bad-mouthing Shinx right to Shinx's face! Of course you're getting zapped!"

"That's strange. This Shinx seems awfully hot-tempered."

Li Wei explained, "It's because you're so big compared to Shinx, Dayou. You look threatening, so Shinx gets angry more easily."

"Oh, I see."

Mizuki quickly jotted that down.

Dayou scratched his head. "That can happen?"

Li Wei reassured him, "It's fine. Once Shinx gets used to you, it'll be okay."

"Bui, bui~"

Buizel waved at them.

Dayou suddenly roared, "You dare taunt me again? Incineroar, let's use Snarl!"

This Buizel was very combative.

Despite that, Buizel was actually pretty terrible at fighting...

According to Lucario, Metang and Buizel had fought eleven times.

Buizel had eleven losses and zero wins, making Buizel nothing more than free experience.

Appraisal Eye displayed information on both sides.

[Name]: Incineroar [Type]: Fire, Dark [Ability]: Intimidate [Moves]: Swords Dance, Darkest Lariat, Flare Blitz, Knock Off, U-turn, Parting Shot, Snarl... [Strength rating]: Veteran (advanced)
[Name]: Buizel [Type]: Water [Ability]: Swift Swim (increases speed in rainy weather) [Moves]: Aqua Jet, Swift, Water Gun, Quick Attack... [Strength rating]: Ordinary (intermediate)

An entire Elite tier stood between them, and Incineroar had Intimidate plus Snarl on top of that. Buizel didn't stand a chance.

As spirals appeared in Buizel's eyes, Dayou claimed victory.
