The elegant Diancie was leaning forward slightly, admiring the different varieties of flowers in the backyard with curiosity.
Before her stood a cluster of lovely blue-and-white bluebells.
Having spent her entire childhood in a mine, Diancie was deeply curious about the world and eager to explore it.
Seeing Li Wei return, Diancie skipped over to him. "How was it? Did you have fun?"
Diancie nodded, and her voice sounded through Telepathy:
"It was fascinating!"
Not far away, Li Wei could see Shaymin curled into a ball, dozing contentedly.
Shaymin rose and fell gently with each breath, like a breathing ball of green fluff.
"Huh?"
Shaymin was actually sleeping at this hour?
Shouldn't you be up having fun?
From what Li Wei knew of Shaymin, the little mythical Pokémon should have been playing hide-and-seek with the Pokémon here.
"We played hide-and-seek, but Shaymin fell asleep."
Li Wei got his answer from Diancie.
Shaymin had been hiding and had chosen to camouflage against the grass, only to... fall asleep.
All Li Wei could say to that was, "Impressive."
"What a wonderful place."
Taking in the fragrant air and the green stretching across the hills, Li Wei murmured in admiration.
In the distance, several Oddish diligently nibbled at weeds, while a few Poliwag blew bubbles beside the pond.
A breeze swept past, carrying the fresh scent of plants and a hint of... food?
Li Wei opened his eyes.
"Aunt Delia?"
Standing before him was Delia, Ash's mother, wearing her familiar outfit with her hair tied in a ponytail.
She and Mr. Mime each carried a food basket. Though the baskets were covered, their enticing aroma still drifted out.
Since Professor Oak's backyard was open,
