Dragon's Den.
After receiving the Dragon Elder's permission at the Dragon Shrine, Li Wei was allowed to venture deeper into Dragon's Den.
Inside Dragon's Den, quite a few young members of the Dragon Tamer Family were training.
"This is Liao, this is Yumiko, and these are two of our family's newer rising talents, the twins Hana and Hina."
As young members of the Dragon Tamer Family, they had received Dragonair and Dratini as their starter Pokémon at an early age.
For a relatively ordinary family, raising a Dratini might take a little longer.
But as members of the Dragon Tamer Family, they had resources and opponents within Dragon's Den, allowing them to progress relatively quickly.
Although they all wanted to battle Li Wei,
Li Wei refused. Stomping beginners was no fun.
Even Liao, the strongest among them, was merely a Trainer with an Elite-level Dragonair.
Lance also told them they were still a long way from being ready to challenge Li Wei.
"There are many Dragon-type Pokémon in Dragon's Den, including plenty of very powerful ones."
Lance explained to Li Wei in a low voice, "I'm not sure whether it's because Dragon-type Pokémon live here or because there's something special about this place, but the Dragon-type energy in Dragon's Den is more concentrated."
Clair, who was accompanying them, was a little surprised.
Lance had no need to tell Li Wei any of this.
After all, if the second explanation was true, it could very well attract others who coveted the place.
Yet Lance had told Li Wei about it so readily. That alone showed how much Li Wei mattered to him and how deeply he trusted him.
"Are you hoping I'll help you find the reason?"
Lance smiled. "Not really, but I am rather curious."
Li Wei shook his head.
