Through Steven, Li Wei also caught up on how things were going at Cameran Palace, and how Mew and Lucario were doing.
Steven sent him a photo of two Lucario playing a game, each holding a controller.
"This is their daily routine," Steven said with a laugh.
"Cameran Palace is pretty quiet now, too. There aren't nearly as many people as there were during the Aura Guardian festival."
Seeing how Mew and Lucario were doing put Li Wei's mind at ease.
They were no longer living in wartime, and the peace would last for a long time to come.
Li Wei could guarantee that much.
If they liked playing, he would let them play to their hearts' content.
"But are you sure Lucario isn't just keeping Mew company?"
Steven glanced behind him at Lucario, who was thoroughly frustrated after losing, and Mew, who was snickering...
The corners of Steven's mouth lifted. "I'm quite sure."
On second thought, Li Wei agreed.
Lucario had slept for a thousand years.
The present era was nothing like the one Lucario had known. Everything was new and unfamiliar.

"Didn't you just go there a few days ago?" Li Wei asked curiously. "Why are you there again?"
"I'm very interested in the rocky mountains around the Tree of Creation," Steven explained. "I've been helping Dr. Lorenzo with archaeological excavations here lately."
Li Wei nodded in understanding.
He didn't need to tell Steven not to approach the Tree of Creation. Steven clearly knew where to draw the line.
As long as they stopped outside the outermost area guarded by Regirock, they wouldn't trigger the Tree of Creation's immune response.
