Li Wei had specially invited Roark, Professor Maxim, and the researchers from the Oreburgh Mine Museum to a meal.
Li Wei's cooking was indeed excellent, and it certainly left Professor Maxim and the others reluctant to leave.
But as a Pokémon Professor who studied fossils, Professor Maxim was more focused on the changes at the Breeding Center.
During the meal, Professor Maxim looked at Roark. "What's going on here?"
Professor Maxim was referring to the winding pedestrian paths, the fences, and the artificial mountain on the artificial lake.
There were also cranes, workers, and Pokémon still hard at work in the distance... The Breeding Center seemed awfully busy.
Roark looked a little embarrassed. "I don't know either... This is only my second visit."
Roark's last visit had been for the Pokémon Restaurant's opening.
But shortly after the opening, the Sinnoh League's Gyms had reopened, and he also had his fossil excavation work...
Roark had become completely absorbed in his work.
If he hadn't received Li Wei's invitation today, Roark wouldn't have known just how much the Breeding Center had changed.
"The last time I came, there was only the Breeding Center and the Pokémon Restaurant we're in now."
Roark shook his head helplessly. "As for what Li Wei is doing now, I can't figure it out either."
After lunch, Li Wei met up with Roark and Professor Maxim.
"Let me show you around."
That was exactly what Professor Maxim had wanted.
He happened to be very interested in this place.
Professor Maxim kept getting the feeling that Li Wei was doing something truly remarkable.
"This is the ranch set aside for Tauros and the others. Carbink and Geodude live over here..."
So far, they could understand it. He had simply designated living areas for the
