Unfortunately, he still hadn't gotten an Eon Flute.
Lucario, Diancie, Shaymin, and Dragapult gathered around Li Wei, looking at the Rainbow Wing.
The vividly colored Rainbow Wing shone with rainbow light in Li Wei's hand, surrounded by a small halo.
So beautiful, so warm!
That was how the Rainbow Wing felt to Shaymin.
Shaymin had never met Ho-Oh, but had heard its name and deeds from Leader Shaymin.
Lucario asked in confusion:

Arcanine squeezed its big head in, eager to give the Rainbow Wing a lick, and nearly started drooling.
The reason was simple: the Rainbow Wing was brimming with Fire-type energy, making it irresistibly tempting to Arcanine.
Metagross, on the other hand, wanted to keep its distance. It stayed by the window, observing and analyzing from afar.
In truth, Metagross couldn't draw any particular conclusions. It was simply Ho-Oh's feather, imbued with Ho-Oh's power.
"Whenever Ho-Oh appears nearby, this feather will pulse with light, almost like it's breathing."
"Besides that, the Rainbow Wing also symbolizes the Rainbow Hero-Ho-Oh's emissary, someone connected to Ho-Oh."
Shaymin's telepathic voice brimmed with excitement. "Ho-Oh's emissary? You're amazing, Li Wei!"
Li Wei handed the Rainbow Wing to Arcanine.
"You spend all day running wild outside, so you can't have it during the day. You can sleep with it at night, though. Remember, no licking."
"Woof!"
Arcanine sat up straight and wagged its tail.
