Cianwood City, Johto Region.
The city lay in the southwestern part of the Johto Region, beside the ocean.
After flying out of Jubilife Airport, Li Wei and Dawn landed safely in Cianwood City, a city that had benefited greatly from the sea.
It was a necessary stop on the way to Windswept City.
Windswept City had originally been a small island off the coast of the Johto Region, gradually developing over time.
Now, a bridge across the sea connected Cianwood City's southwestern outskirts to Windswept City.
Li Wei planned to let his family and Dawn's mother, Saiko, know they had arrived safely first.
"Come on, let's go to the Pokémon Center and make a video call."
Dawn called home, and a smiling Saiko appeared on the screen.
"We landed safely, Mom!"
It was Dawn's first time flying. "I don't think it was as fun as riding Corviknight!"
Looking a little exasperated, Saiko asked, "You're not just visiting the next city over, you know. Do you have any idea how tiring it would be to ride Corviknight that far?"
After letting his parents and Cynthia know he had arrived safely, Li Wei opened the Chat Group.
Li Wei tagged Brock, the most reliable of the bunch:
"I've arrived in Cianwood City. We're about to take the train to Windswept City. We should get there at four thirty."
Brock: "Ash and I are taking part in an event. Shall we meet at the Pokémon Center then?"
Li Wei: "Sure."
Ash and Brock had certainly embraced the local customs, already joining in the festivities.
Li Wei skimmed the chat history and discovered that Yellow had joined in too.
