First, one thing was clear: they had to keep pursuing Hunter J.
They all agreed that Hunter J would strike again.
Lance narrowed his eyes slightly and said gravely, "Hunter J is extremely arrogant. She's never taken the Pokémon League seriously."
"She's a career criminal through and through. This is how she makes her living, and she has a large team to support. There's no way she'll stop."
"She never lets a grudge go. We dealt her such a crushing defeat this time that she's bound to seek revenge."
After more than a year of relentless pursuit by Lance and his Investigators and police officers, along with their unexpected success at Mirror Lake last time, of the five most notorious Code Hunters,
only Hunter J, who had escaped, remained.
If they could arrest Hunter J, they would deal a tremendous blow to the Pokémon Hunters' arrogance.
They might not be able to wipe out Pokémon Hunters entirely, but they could certainly give wild Pokémon and Trainers some breathing room.
Lance stood up and said firmly, "I will catch her!"
Cynthia rose immediately after him. "Capturing Hunter J will be a major test of our Investigators' capabilities."
At a time like this, Cynthia could not stand idly by.
Hunter J was committing her crimes in the Sinnoh Region. Even though Lance was the Chief Investigator, Cynthia could hardly leave him to fight on the front lines alone.
As the Sinnoh Champion and a Special Investigator, Cynthia had a duty to act.
"Well, after all that, count me in too. Sit down, and let's talk."
Li Wei could not be bothered to stand up.
